Motiva audits and analyses are project reports supported by the Employment and Economic Development Ministry, from which detailed energy consumption reports and energy conservation suggestions with payback times are drawn up. AX-Consulting has extensive experience in audit activity, ranging from small service buildings to large factories. Additionally, we provide the energy reports and certificates required for a building permit.
Energy reports and certificates
We offer energy reports and certificates for a wide variety of needs. Our experts draw up energy reports in accordance with provision in a reliable manner. All of our analysts have separate qualifications for the issuing of energy certificates (FISE).
An energy report is required for a building permit for new houses.
The effects of the planning requirement solutions on energy consumption are clarified in an energy report drawn up with the help of our experts. We also provide the necessary energy specifications as an attachment in the application of building permits for existing buildings.
For new building projects, an energy report is required at the building permit stage. The energy report for new buildings contain the clarifications specified in building code D3:
- Energy certification for the building
- Heating and cooling power calculations for the building
- Heat loss equalization calculations for the building
- Summertime room temperature review.
The energy certification is also required in the renting or selling of an apartment.
An energy number-based (E-number) energy clarification is required in the selling or renting of a building.
The drawing up of the clarification includes an on-site visit by an expert.
A set of proposals to improve energy efficiency is provided.
Audits in accordance with Motiva
In an energy audit, our experts clarify the current situation of the target’s energy consumption and suggest possibilities for energy consumption improvement.
In the first stage of the audit, the flow of energy and its distribution are clarified, as well as potential energy savings targets.
In the second stage, the focus is on the savings targets and the drawing up of preliminary improvement suggestions. The viability of the improvement measures is estimated by calculating a simple payback time for investments. The basic information, energy flow and principle solutions of the savings suggestions along with the proposed costs of the target are presented in the report.
We have carried out a large number of Motiva energy audits for both the industrial and public sectors. We employ approximately 20 Motiva approved audit experts.
Energy audits for large companies and related target audits
AX-Consulting has the required skill, know-how, expertise and the qualified and educated experts to perform energy audits and the included target audits for large companies in accordance with the Energy Efficiency Act. Professional audits performed with the utmost care increase your knowledge of the use, cost and distribution of energy in your company.
The aim of energy efficiency improvement measures are to reduce the costs arising from operation and to create an energy-efficient operating environment while not forgetting system functionality. We perform audits in collaboration with the customer and in accordance with their needs.
AX-Consulting has five employees with large company energy audit management qualifications.
Other energy audits
AX-Consulting offers a wide variety of energy consultation and planning services designed to enhance the energy use of industrial projects. In addition to audits carried out in accordance with Motiva, we provide our customers with free-form energy audits and investigations for industrial buildings as well as production processes.
The main benefits of an energy audit are improvements in energy efficiency, increased cost savings and a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, to name a few.
Energy and life-cycle consulting
The energy efficiency of a building is comprised of the choices made during the planning phase as well as the maintenance performed while the building is in use. The choices made during a buildings planning phase have the most significant impact on energy efficiency.
The goal of life-cycle consulting is to guide the building process towards energy-efficient and sustainable solutions in addition to introducing the perspectives of life-cycle affordability, adaptability, usability, sustainability and energy efficiency for all design disciplines from the very beginning of the project.
The varying levels of energy efficiency and life-cycle costs are inspected during the different stages of the project, and are included in the life-cycle-focused planning process. As the planning progresses, our life-cycle consultants propose energy efficient solutions and perform energy consumption calculations using a dynamic calculation simulation program.
The aim of the simulation is to act as a supporting factor for customers at the earliest possible stage, so that they can compare the differing ways structure, system and device choices affect energy, maintenance and operating costs. Additionally, it is ensured that the chosen adjustment and control solutions produce the desired conditions for minimal energy consumption.
In addition to producing the documents necessary for the energy report, the life-cycle consultant works with the planning team, among other tasks.
We perform life-cycle planning in accordance with the Life-Cycle planning task list ELINK12, or according to the needs of the customer.
In building energy simulation, we use IDA Indoor Climate and Energy software. The software is a dynamic calculating method that can simulate the thermal conditions of the building, as well as energy consumption. The software can use architectural models (IFC) and MagiCAD Room-based IFC models.
